Fine furnishings and antiques beautifully appoint this 1891 Bed and Breakfast that graces the scenic and historic town of Hot Springs, South Dakota. Majestically situated on a tranquil hill, there are spectacular panoramic views of Hot Springs, its town, the rugged canyons and pine covered hills. This site was selected in 1891 as the location of the Sioux City Gentleman's Gaming Club. This exclusive club had several elegant suites and featured a two story octagonal great room, topped with the Gentleman's Poker Room. In the Roaring Twenties Chicago multimillionaire F. O. Butler purchased the property and converted it into a guesthouse for his affluent friends. In 1990, the house was totally renovated and opened as a Black Hills Bed & Breakfast. The inn boasts six bedrooms, each with a queen size bed and private bath.

The “Western Saloon” offers spectacular views of the town, Fall River and the surrounding mountains. It is one of the common areas guests may use for playing card games such as poker, or just enjoying the views.

Guest rooms are furnished to offer Victorian elegance to visitors enjoying the treasures of the Black Hills and surrounding areas. Each room features its own private bath in addition to cable television, a DVD player, a CD player, an alarm clock and a telephone. Guests are encouraged to borrow from our DVD and print libraries during their stay. A massage therapist with separate quarters and an outdoor spa are on-site, should you need to unwind after a hard day of exploring the Black Hills. The inn features front and rear covered porches and guests are encouraged to relax and enjoy the view during their stay. Breakfast is served each morning in the formal dining room. Entrees include a variety of dishes, which change daily. Typical breakfasts may include fritatas, pancakes or french toast, bacon or sausage, fresh fruit and homemade muffins or scones.

Since the 1890’s, Hot Springs has been drawing people to experience the hot mineral springs. The old fashioned, friendly atmosphere of this small town is a welcome haven to travelers experiencing South Dakota. We encourage you to join the growing number of visitors who are discovering the attractions of the Hot Springs area.
